Oh, Come On! She had the pipes even then!

I've never seen this vid before. Joan certainly gives Help a fresh reading. Very sexy too. I don't know who the guitarist is, but he has more fire and balls then the current player in Furthur does.

btw-thanks kiddo

The guitarist on Phil's right is John Scofield and on his left it's Larry Campbell.

It would be Mr. Campbell. Have you listened to this?

Did you know these May 06 Warfield shows are avialable commercially on CD and DVD? You should be able to find them on Amazon.

Phil and Friends with Larry Campbell is one of my favourite line ups, and it got even better when Jackie Greene came onboard too (if you haven't before give yourself a treat and check out this acoustic show with Campbell, Greene, Lesh and Teresa Williams -

I did know it was a commercial release, but I am loathe to spend anymore until I listen to what I have at least once.
Lots of deleting going on. ;-)
How many MAMU's do you really need anyway?

Well, 4/17/99 was the tops last year, so how can I go wrong with these recs.

I think Deb & I need to see Ms. Osbourne. 2/4 in NYC?

I absolutely sympathise with your predicament. I seem to be acquiring music faster than it is physically possible to listen to it, but I just can't see the possibility of stopping downloading until I catch up. The internet is like crack cocaine to the music lover - an addiction pure and simple.

I think you and I are a lot alike, Brother Wolf. Good to see you around, and the very happiest of new years to you and your fine lady and lasses.

Ready for the fun and games Tues./Wed? Unless the snow fell at 30" and is heavy, who cares about a foot. It's the wind. 45mph in the first storm. Close to the same supposedly with this one. Be warm

that's Larry Campbell, and, yeah, I think volume was an issue. DJ did some sweet stuff w/ JGB and in studio. Her best singin with the GD was probably '77ish, the Atlanta Fox shows from May '77fr example

Agreed. I actually like her contributions for the Richmond Mosque show. Not perfect, mind you, but a far cry from the baby scarin', cat maulin', banshee wailin', chalkboard scratchin', spine shreddin' disasters of the earlier years.

Larry Campbell is a freaking genius. I'll never forget seeing him for the first time in Bob Dylan's band in the late 90s and being completely blown away by his talent and versatility. Totally agree he would blow JK off the stage.
